Air-in-a-box

Air-in-a-box is a network emulation tool which emulates dynamic, mobile ad-hoc wireless network topologies in real-time, featuring easy deployment and detailed network models. It was developed in the research project HIDENETS (http://www.hidenets.aau.dk).

Releases

Version 0.9.0 is the current release, available for download.
This is a release demonstrating the architecture and functionality of air-in-a-box, which hopefully will improve in quality over time. The model of the wireless network used in the link simulator is our own model of an 802.11a network, which has not yet been validated. Work is currently focused on making the link simulator modular to provide an interface for other to provide their own simulation models.
We encourage everyone to try out the air-in-a-box and provide us with feedback!
